it's fun to read my own blog. Like a story book ... 1 day, I might make it into a booklet so that I can read it when I have free time :)

What? No more Swimming Lesson?

Today is my 2nd swimming lesson, instructor is happy with my progress and I can go to level 2 very soon ... However the bad news I got from the management of Butki Jali Golf Club is thay :
Notice:
Starting from 1 May, Michael Ong will not be Swimming Instructor and cannot conduct any swimming class in Bukit Jalil Golf Club anymore.
Asked the staff why they never inform when I sign up 2 weeks ago ( 3 days before the notice). They said don't know . Asked about the money I've paid, they said don't know :(
Asked Michael, he also said don't know as the management only inform him 3 days ago.
Haih ..... Why are there soooooo much of hurdle ? I just want to learn swimming .. Hahahah in a way, felt guilty because may be because I'm so "sui" (bad luck) until the instructor lost his job, hahahah

Story of the Babi Hutan

Have you heard of the story of the babi hutan??
Once upon a time, there was this group of youngster in a car going to haev their delicious, long waited dinner... the traffic was a bit heavy and there's a bit of rain, the traffic condition made it difficult to have a smooth ride. Suddenly, Friend A says to driver : "Hey, you drive like babi hutan la"...
^_^, driver's fast response: "What a previlege you have, have you ever seen any babi hutan that can drive?"
AHahah ... since that time onwards.. my new nickname is "Babi Hutan"
Funny :) a babi hutan that drive a Wira?? :)

1st swimming .. Finally

4th April is an important date foe me ;) because it's my swimming class again. Weather was not very good but thank God it rained at about 2pm and stopped before my class.
I was quite lost in the beginning, have no idea what should I do and no orientation from the swimming institution. They just ask me to change and get a "green card" (beginner) then go into the pool... :( without a clue who is the instrcutor and what to do, I just go into the pool and wait as instructed..
Finally, instructor came to collect the green card and found out there are about 30 students and only 3 instructors. Eddie (my instructor) asked me to join the class later instead because too many student. (oh no....)
"what am i suppose to do for the next 45 mins? This is my 1st lesson, I have no idea what to do..."
I was so angry with the whole arrangement:
1. Instructor was late
2. Too many student (suppose to be 6 person group)
3. I feel so cheated with this whole idea of promising statement but quality of service is not there
Anyway, Eddie gave me a few mins to find out my level and told me to start practicing my leg movement until the next class (45 mins later)
I really appreciate Eddie's time, even though I'm suppose to start my class in the next 45 mins, but he did give me tips and encouragement.
"very good, keep practicing"
"very nice move"
"you are doing good"
These are the statements motivate me a lot...
45 mins later, they swap the instrutor and guess what .. there are 7 in my group (beginner), some are 3rd lesson, 5th lesson, 1st lesson & etc...
This instructor did not give much attention to me and just said "practise la". He didn't even give me any feedback/comment at all until I asked him "Can you take a look at my movement and let me know correct or wrong?"
Really disappointed with this instructor. At the end of class, Eddie came again to check with me if everything OK. Again, I feel better because this is what I'm paying for... not the step 1,2,3 like the video.
Feel so unhappy but then at the same time glad that I have some progress. I'll practise harder to make it to level 2 soon....
