1st & 2nd day of CNY was as usual ... stay at home, go back to Pahang, etc ..
Today is the 3rd day of CNY, and it's also my 1st day going out to meet friends

Felt like watching movie today and hence I went to KLCC with 2 friends, watched "Fearless" and finally ...

LOST MY PHONE !!!

Well ... Some of you might think I did it in purpose so that I can get a new phone ..... In fact I've been complaining about my phone for some times :) seems like a good opportunity for me to change phone. But the problem is that I will not be able to get a new SIM card so soon.. it's holiday session .. long long holiday :)

Japan

20 Jan
Finally, my business trip in Japan is over. Oh I mean I will start my vacation after 3 days attending Exhibition and visiting customer. Meeting today ended early because it’s Winter in Japan and they work until 4:30 pm only. Took a cab back to hotel and then we move on to the train station to hunt for food. My bosses bought some Japanese food & biscuit because they are flying back to Malaysia the next day. Whereas I will stay back for another 2 days to visit whatever place I can reach. Found a limited edition Coke bottle selling in their convenient and decided to bring it back for Kevin since he is a big Coke fan.

21 Jan
It’s so cold today when I woke up 6:30am to say good bye to my bosses and to take over the only hand phone that works in Japan. Heard that it’s going to snow today, but I saw the news only show the northern area is snowing. Packed all my things and left the hotel about 9:40am and it’s raining. Got into the Bullet train again and started my 2 days adventure alone in Japan. I was taking a nap in the train and suddenly heard a big hoohaa… Open my eyes and found out that I’m in the Narnia world J It’s snowing outside. So white… I love the tree the most because it’s so “Christmas” so white, so beautiful. For a moment, I am glad that I have made the right choice to stay back.

The next 20 minutes I was busy taking photo and practicing my panning skill. Took about 100 photos, which is about 12 seconds per snap.

Reached the station to change train and I went down with excitement to take some photos.. Woooww it’s cold, but I can still take it. OK. Now is the difficult part, I didn’t know I’m supposed to change another 2 trains before I can reach the Yokohama Station. Thank God I asked some people at the right time and got some tips from them. Reached Yokohama Station safely and now it’s to locate the hotel, based on the list given by the previous hotel staff. I cannot do any booking because I have no internet connection for the past 2 days.

It was sooooooo cold, so cold until my finger are all frozen. I decided to take cab, but the officer said it’s very near, I can just walk down the street. OK, I tried. After asking from 5 people, I finally found the hotel (looks more like a motel). Start to use some sign language to book a room but was told it’s fully booked. Oh no … what happen? And this moment, I regret staying back alone. I walked out and go to another hotel directed by the owner. Rang the bell and heard someone talked non stop in Japanese. Waited for a while and left the place.

Oh. Mummy, where did the smart idea of staying back alone come from? I regretted to the bottom of my heart. Walking in snow without gloves, only a some heavy luggage is so pitiful…. I wanted to cry at the moment J As I walk on the street, there are a lot of “cinemas” ( another type of cinema that only open at night for live shows), I started to feel worry, I just want to go back !!!! Out of a sudden, I saw a signboard pointing to my left “Hotel” (to be more accurate it’s called ryokan). Knock at the door and one old couple attending to me, I start asking
“Hotel? Hotel?”
And they answered me “@&$(@&$*^@$*(Q^$” which I have no idea what they said.
“Hotel? 1 person. You have room? 1 person.”

They only allow me to check in by 5pm, but I can leave my luggage there of course. The ryokan doesn’t look so pleasant but I’m really tire walking in snow to look for s place to stay.
Walked back to the train station again for shopping since I cannot check in. Bought my train ticket to Airport for Monday and got some maps for tomorrow’s day trip.

Walked back to the ryokan and hope they allow me to check in (it’s 4:30pm). Saw a few Bomba & Police cars parked in front of the ryokan, people are watching from far and start talking. I tried to ask a Japanese what happen, but too bad, I don’t understand what was told.

For the 1st time I’m worried in oversea, which violates my theory of “It’s stay to travel no matter which country you are in”. I hope it’s not that ryokan I left my bag that’s on fire, I hope it’s not my bag that’s on fire.

Walked in the ryokan and found out nothing happen. Checked in to my room and it’s freezing cold. It’s only 4:30pm and I don’t think I want to go out because it’s getting dark. Seems like today will rest early and hopefully tomorrow can wake up early to have a memorable trip.

My "Wu Loong" incident again
Tuesday, January 17, 2006

As usual, everytime I travel to another country, something must happen to make my trip more interesting. Here goes my story today:

1 am ~ 8 am -> Didn't sleep well. Afraid I will overslept
8:30 am -> Got my brother to send me to the train station. Reach the station and just step out from the car, I found out the shoe I was wearing was torn. Arrrrgggg, why must this happen to me everytime I travel?
9 am -> Changed a pair of shoe from home and back to train station again
9:10 am -> Got a bad seat in the train. Not facing the forward direction and got headache
9:35 am -> reached KLIA with my headache. Got trapped at the platform becasue my train ticket cannot be read. Had no idea what happen.
?? time -> My special ordered High Fiber High Protein meal didn't turn out to be what I expected. I was "high carbo, high sugar " meal instead. They served me with potato wedges, buns, mashed potato

The rest of the day was quite smooth. Got a handsome Japanese guy bought a can of Hot Tea for me ,:) heheheh so kind of him. We asked him to help to buy train ticket and then he bought for us the hot tea.

Reached hotel at 9:30pm. What a tiring day.

My Diet Dinner
Friday, January 13, 2006

This is one of my diet dinner for the week. Long bean + abolone mushroom Egg Omelette. And the taste is goooood ^_^

The progress is goodok only, lost 700G in 4 days. Expecting minimum of 5KG lost within a month. But my biggest concern now is my trip to Japan next week. Hope the Japanese don't be too kind to bring us to eat good food, because it's very difficult to reject other's kindness.

Target: Keep losing weight :)

The ugliest photo of my life
Tuesday, January 03, 2006

I was suppose to submit a passport size photo for VISA application for my visit to Japan in 2 weeks time. Didn;t managed to find any old photo from home, so I decided to take an instant shot near by.

Didn't manage to find any photo shop near by office, and I have to drive 5 KM away to old office area (more familiar with the area there). Reached the shop and check out the price, well.... a bit pricy, but what to do? I need it instant.

Found out the photo paper used is a bit too thin and afraid not accepted by the officer. But I have no other choice also. The best part of the story will be the photo came out is totatlly not acceptable!!! ARRRGGGGGGGHHHHHH NOT ACCEPTABLE AT ALL !!!!!!!!!!!

The phtographer's finger print is on my face (not dried properly) and the printing quality is super super low... like those printed with a dot matrix printer(13 years old technology)....

It is sooooooo badly done and as I think back, how could I pay RM15 for these 8 ugly photos????? [Stupid me]

My New Year
Monday, January 02, 2006

Had a very busy New Year for 2006. It's my good friend's wedding and I'm the "#1 Brother". Help him out with projector, calling people for dinner, drove down to Malacca to pick the bride, became receiptionist during dinner time & etc .... felt more busy than my brother's wedding :) hahaha.... It's a non stop action 6 am until 12 midnight. But's I'm really happy for him for getting a good wife and the wife got a good husband.

Today is a holiday and of course it's spending money day again. Went for Karaoke in the morning, not able to sing those song nicely :0 Shopping in the afternoon with mum, niece & sis-in-law. Spent few hundreds dollar buying cloths. Well, I think I can justify that for not buying any working cloths for few years (^_^ my colleague will know that).

One of my resolution for this year is to get rid of extra fats from my body. Will target 10KG within 3 months and 20KG by June. Girls and guys, please do not tempt me with Nasi Lemak, Keropok Leko, Maggie Goreng, Bak Kut Teh, Buffet and etc etc etc, bcos I am determined to achieve my target. :) Making a public declaration for there is no turning back ... no turning back....
