Today Pink Lady went to a shop that she labeled " The Most Boring Shopping Place".
It's one eletronics component shop in Taiwan.
^_^ Hahaha ...... Everything inside look so strange... Even though every item is labeled properly, still Pink Lady cannot understand what are they for ...
????? Was there about 30 minutes, walking in and out, up and down ... boring, boring, boring !!!!!!!!!

Knowing myself more

Today I went to a habour near by just to visit the place. Basically there is nothing much besides fishing boat, strong wind and a few stalls. However there is something interesting happen that made me know myself better.
Along the "beach", there is a "wall". I saw a few couple walking on it. Hm .... it must be a nice path to walk along and enjoy the breeze. So I decided to climb up and take a slow walk. There is only a wooden ladder used by worker but tourist. (heheh we are not allow to go up there).
It took me a bit of effort to climb up there. But by the time I was up there, I realize my legs are out of my control. As if it is part of the wall instead of my body. I just can't move them :o . Suddenly a strong wind came and I almost lost my balance. hehehhe .... my colleague have no choice but to cancel the plan to walk along the narrow path ^_^ heheheheh sorry .....

Pink Lady just spent a bit amount of money again. Spent 30000 New Taiwan money (RM3400) to buy "something" ^_^ hehheheh .... This is what we call "mau cantik tak mau nyawa".
It is also Pink Lady's habit to encourage other people to spend money. It is so happy to see other people spend money :>
Pink Lady always believe in contributing back to the society :o Let other people earn a living too mah , right ?

My new "room mate"

Just found out actually I have a room mate in the hotel room that I never knew.
:& It's "Siew Kiong" (Mr. Cockroach). He walk out very slowly to say hi to me but I was too shocked so I jump to my bed. He got a shock too and at the same time, I think he was sad that I didn't welcome him. He walk slowly with a downcast face towards my slipper.... eehhhheeerrrrr
I cannot take it, so I follow behind him closely. Looking for an opportunity to slap him and ask him to get out. He ran so fast to the toilet.
I should feel safe because I can just lock the toilet door... :( but the bad news is that I have not take my shower yet....
Hope he won't give me any more surprises tonight.

Sad Day

Today is holiday for most places in Taiwan due to a strong TYPHOON.
To most of the people, it could be a good news because student no need to go to school and working people no need to work. My heart is very heavy especially when I watch the news this afternoon about 5:30pm. In Shin Chu area, there was a landslide and up to 5pm, 4 person are dead (plus 1 person die because hit by a streetlamp). Estimate there are another 20 people was buried and still cannot find them yet.
My heart was so broken to see happen. So I just shut myself down and went to sleep. Felt better after I woke up and went out for dinner with my colleagues. But after that, which is now, when I turn on the TV again, my tears just roll down.
Was planning to do some work, but now I change my plan to spend some time with God.

Woooooohhhh ... Suddenly there is a blackout. Oh no !!!!! Where is my laptop adaptor? Can't find it .....can't find it .... ok ok never mind... cool down, check the bag, don't have. Check the shoe box, oh no don't have.
Ah .... I know where, must be in Jason's car, he sent us back just now. Call Jason, call Jason.... ehhh ... don't have his number. Ask James.
do.. dooo.. dooo Hello James there ? ah ... still in toilet? I think I left my laptop adaptor in jason's car lah... can call him to check ah???

Oh no !!!! It's there, it's there ... Can you please send by DHL ? I need it urgently by tomorrow afternoon. and I got a promise.But didn't get the adaptor.
Have tried all ways to give power to my laptop. Ask around and there's no one using Dell laptop. Went to computer shops and no one is selling. Contacted Dell support and they don't have a spare unit. Finally call a taxi to bring it to me and spent NT1600 (RM180).
Suddenly I see how my life is without a laptop. How to live without a laptop?
I almost went crazy.

Pink Lady had a broke down today. Had a fight in the morning.
To cut the long story short.... Pink lady verbally tender her resignation today. 2 months notice. If one of the projects cannot be completed by October, Pink Lady will leave her current company and start "measuring land".
Don't want to use God's name but she didn't make the statement for fun. There is peace in the heart though she is in a battle field. Will pray about it.

Slept about 3 am this morning and then got up at 8:30am to prepare for a remote meeting with my colleagues in Malaysia. (I am in Taiwan)
We had a voice conference over the internet and manage to finish the meeting in about 1 hour time. Well... I wanted to buy a lip oil in one shop since I touched down in Taiwan. Unfortunately the schedule was full for the whole week. So I decided that I must achieve this "goal" today. But it was already 11 am after waited for my colleague and finally no one is going with me :(
It is very far .... about 25 minutes walk. walking there and then come back will take me 50 minutes. And I have to check out the hotel by 12 noon. OK, I will not let this from stopping me. I walk and walk .... and walk and walk ... Finally I manage to buy 5 lip oil ^_^ and a pair of shoe. Look at the time, wah ... it's 11:35am
^_^ hehehe ... took a cab lah ... faster mah.
I took a cab and bought a cup of bubble tea on the way. Reach the hotel at 11:45 am.
But still waiting for my colleague to wash up, put on makeup, etc .... BTW 2 guys I am waiting...

Unbeatable Deal

Woooh ..... Today Pink Lady got an unbeatable deal. It is a Nikon CoolPix2200 digital camera with built-in 10MB memory + additional 256MB memory for New Taiwan Money 6200, which is about RM680.
It was selling at RM780 in Malaysia without the 256MB Memory card.
Yeah !!!! Pink Lady got the best deal of the day ....
la... la... lala..lalaaaa..... happy like a bird ^_^ ( but has nothing to do with the bird story I told earlier, ok?)

Today is a very interesting day for Pink Lady. It is Friday today and since in Taiwan no one works during weekend, Pink Lady has to do her best to settle as much as she can before she can enjoy her "holiday" (Saturday & Sunday).
Had a time of war with Mr. J during noon time. Have you ever try to explain something and someone just do not understand what you are talking and keep asking for something not logical??? Your blood pressure just shoot up high to reach the "alarm" level..... Well, though there were war between Pink Lady and Mr. J for about 1 hour, finally there is peace.
When the situation turn, Pink Lady and Mr. J became good friend again, and they were even "beating" on food for the machine's performance. Pink lady lost and have to gave away her donut to Mr. J.
Did you have any misunderstanding or argument with anyone? It is such a small matter compare with the friendship, caring and love for one another. Call him/her up for a drink and laugh over the foolish argument ^_^

OK. You know what happen this morning when Pink Lady got up ? Since she wasn't feeling so well last nite due to the coffee bubble tea, this morning she got up still feeling a bit sick. Go to toilet as usual (hope you do that in the morning too)
..... And suddenly she can smell coffee coming out from the toilet bowl.
Oh no ... this "perfume" last her the whole day ... even now ....
I will never let her take Coffee again ^_^

Pink Lady became "Red Lady" today

Pink Lady is sick today .... Having slight fever in the evening... You know lah ... she has rosy cheek. it became red .... as red as an apple (oh .. that was my nickname : Little red Apple).
This sickness is due to the following reason... you might want to avoid them:
1) Sleep maximum 5 hours a day for 3 weeks
2) Working in an environment of 16 degree Celsius, but outdoor is 35DC
3) Intensive high pressure
4) Drinking free drink ( My customer is so kind today that he treat me a coffee bubble tea, with my empty stomach that cannot take coffee)

Bird Joke

Was reminded by my colleague this evening about a joke I made 1 month ago.
4 of my colleagues and myself were in a car in Taiwan. We were on the way to have our dinner. This is a car with sun roof. You know... it is not common and no practical to have a sun roof car in Malaysia. So I just look at the sky and enjoy the sky and stars ....
Suddenly, I just burst and laugh non stop. Trying to tell my colleague about the joke but everything before I open my mouth I can;t stop laughing .... Finally after dinner, I calm myself down and decided to tell them about the joke ... Here it goes :

Pink Lady is flying to Taiwan

Hello all dear friends,
Pink Lady is flying to Taiwan tomorrow 15th August 2004 at 3:15pm. And I just experienced a miracle today. Once again God made my machine work! I have 3 1/2 days to pick out a project from another colleague. Need to understand the whole software, find out all the bugs and solve them all. Improve the system performance is another hurdle I need to cross... because I do not have a confident solution yet.
Well working very hard these few days. And this also bring me even nearer to God, because I know only Him can make miracles happen. Last night I was very troubled because I still cannot improve the system yet.
Miracle happen today just 1 hour before I wan to go back.... it is working !!! it is working even beyond my expectation. And I didn't do anything to the system.
Tell me if this is not GOD, who else ?

Pink Lady is getting very boring these 2 days... Rushing for deadline, well actually Pink Lady was dead 2 months ago ... (once you are over the line, you are dead ...)
Well... Manage to get a "second chance" and this week will be the 2nd deadline.
Working day and night ... and also alone :(
Guess what .... pink lady is still in the factory alone , alone means no one is around ... Getting a bit scare... this is not a very safe place ....
Just need to wait for the system to run for another 30 minutes then can go back ....

This is a very common question that can have a lot of different answers.
I was asking one of my colleague this question this morning. At the same time, I was thinking about it as well. There is a revelation came to me and it makes me love to work even more ....
I often struggle to "behave" myself as a follower of Christ every moment of my life. Something happen in my company on Monday and I (believe so) handle it calmly. This makes my colleague as me how can I take iy so easy when I should be angry instead?
Now I see being a Christian in market place, this is our work, not to get the routine job done and get paid. But making our work place a place to glorify God and bring His presense into people's life through our action.
I am loving it even more when I have opportunity to speak into people's life.

The day after I overcame death

I had quite a scary Sunday night where I wanted to end my life on that day itself.
I only see darkness surrounding me .... Ok to cut the story short, since I am still updating my blog, I have made the choice to live on....
Those the next day I receive a shocking news in the morning, I was taking it easy. There is peace in me. Thank God that He had allowed darkness and after that there is light.
But it is nothing compare to Jesus's death on the cross. Thank You Father that you have sent Your only Son so that we can have life because of his obedience, even to the death on the cross.

Broke Down

Had a broke down on the way back home about 10:30 pm just now.
Oh.... it's not my car , it's me. (huh???) Yes.... you didn't hear wrongly, I say it's me.
Was just browsing through my contact and trying to talk to some friends.... or instead I just want to hear a friend talk. As simple as that...
OK.. let see... some are sleeping because tomorrow need to work. Some are not really friends and I might not want to hear their voice at that moment. Some are friends, but I will put them under the category of "hi and bye" friends. Friend who are really close to my heart are all oversea ... hm may be it is not so economic(they need to pay also if I call them) to just tell them "Can you talk to me?".
Well... finally just sms one close friend and she just call me back immediately. Amazing, upon hearing her voice, I felt so much better. And I thank God I have a friend like that. Dear ... thanks for being there when I need to hear a friend's voice..
Ok. I think I better rest soon as I will have a "wonderful" week in Melaka.

Thinking to treat myself a relaxing Saturday with a movie. Decided at about 1:30 pm to watch "House of Flying Daggers" at night. Well... I don't really enjoy watching movie in a big group, you know .... the time to call up everyone and wait for them to make up their mind ... ding dong, ding dong ...
So I decided to go with only 2 friends... but Sam caught me at 1:45pm and he wanted to join and he had a brilliant idea to call the LF also ... Ok. I don't really mind but it is a Saturday, it is not easy to get ticket (I don't mean the 1st or 2nd row)...
It end up one of my friend invited another friend Mr.C, who was Ms. L's ex-boyfriend.
I was left with one question in the afternoon " Why do you invite him ? You know Ms. L is going with us !! "
Ahhh ... it just spoil my mood ... after 2 hours of discussion yet there is no conclusion whether we are watching the movie together or split into 2 groups, I was quite upset and decided to cancel it for my own sake ...
Then I got a call that Ms. L is not feeling well and will not be joining. OK then. I drove to Midvalley and queue for an hour to get 4 tickets. Taking the risk that my car will be towed at illegal parking (Rm100 of fine), I got a call after that Mr. C is not coming....
Well, well , well .... Plans still go on for 3 of us. But I have been busy the whole afternoon for nothing !!! Only mental torture ....
May be what I will do next time is try to be more "anti social" when I want to relax

Finally I decided to makes some time for movie after months. Most of the people I know have already watched this movie. Last minute, I manage to get 3 tickets to watch it with my friend.
It is a good movie (to me). I like it because there are some values about life. Too many that I cannot list all of them down. But there is one that I must mention.
When Arthur expressed his angry towards Merlin for killing his mum. Merlin said : " You use this sword not because your hatred, it is because you love your mum. Love.... Arthur "

I learnt a scary lesson yesterday. When all my collesgues were leaving, I wanted to stay for another 30 minutes to chat with my friend online. When I was ready to leave then I have to lock up the office , the gate , pull down the grill , etc ....
So as usual, I locked my office door then went downstair to pull doen the grill as well.... Just 1 second after I pull the grill doen, it was still half way... something dropped to my feet. Well, it was quite normal as now days a lot of "loan shark" like to put their business card everywhere. But I felt this time it was a little bit different... it moves !!!
Ah!!!!!!!!! It's a rat !!!!
My hair just stand even I am writting now.....
The moral of the story (for me) is : do not work late alone .^0^

Adjusting to Malaysia

Finally I am adjusted to Malaysia life style after one week. As you can see I posted lesser blog, which means I'm back to my "busy" life style with work , people and mamak.
Slowing getting to know my colleague more after MIA for a month. Feeling a bit more like home now.... Compared to previous days, I felt I was at foreign land instead. Everything was so alien to me and I almost came to the point of "hopeless". Thank God He always give hope to those we are hopeless and put their trust in Him.

Korean BBQ Buffet

Just came back from a Korean BBQ Buffet with my LF members. Though it is a very expensive dinner and i don't think it worth RM40, had a fun time chit chating and most importantly I found out something ..... It might not be new but i never cross my mind, which is .... I am going to specify to have a children meal for my next flight to Taiwan ^-^
One of our LF members is working for MAS and we were just talking about food in the plane. The idea suddenly cross my mind that may be I should try different meal in the plane. OK, I will take the children meal for my flight to Taiwan and a diet meal from Taiwan back to Malaysia.
I will surely take a photo of the meal .... sit back and wait for it ... ^_^

woh ..... I got a new LCD screen for my laptop today. Actually it was getting dimmer everyday .... It wasn't very obvious until I compare it with my colleagues's LCD. His screen is so much clearer and shaper.
So I decided to call Dell's support call center and see if they can do something about it or not. Their support engineer came just now about 2:30 pm and change a new LCD screen for me ^-^.
This is what I like about Dell. Whenever you call them for support, they will change a new part for you then bring back the "faulty" part to test in their lab. Not like other supplier, you need to bring back to their HQ and leave it there for weeks ...

I was invited by a friend to join their badminton session every Sunday at 6:30pm. Finally decided to join them at 6:20pm, so I packed everything I need and rush to SS2,PJ. I was surprised to see about 20 people there ...
Get to know a few new people there and played about 3 games.. That's all ^-^
Didn't even chat with my friend (Mr. TT) because of the big crowd.
